Site Visitor Consent

By using this site, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy. Whenever you submit information via this site, you consent to the collection and use of that information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

I. Hosting and Security:

This site is being host at the Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2). Amazon EC2’s service interface allows the Enroll UX 2014 projectto run on Amazon cloud’s proven computing environment while giving the project and its vendors complete control of the computing resources and data.

We’ve secured the website using standard best practices for secure online data and are housing the site in facilities that are strictly controlled by professional security staff, using video surveillance, intrusion detection systems, and other electronic means. We will also perform periodic access audits and review to guarantee security.

II. Use of Collected Information

We’re going to be collecting information about visitors to the website and analyzing that information in order to enhance website performance.

Personally Identifiable Information:

No personally identifiable information (i.e. name, address, telephone number, email) will be collected unless it is voluntarily submitted to us via a comment or our “sign up” page. If personally identifiable information is posted, it will only be used as follows:

  1. To respond to specific requests via email when appropriate;
  2. To inform visitors via email updates on the progress of this project.

Non-Personally Identifiable Information:

The information we collect may include your IP Address (a number used to identify your computer on the Internet) and other information gathered through our weblogs, cookies or by other means. Additionally we may make use of “cookies” in the collection of information you provide us, or when your web browser accesses information on this web site.

  1. We may share your personal information with our agents, contractors or partners in connection with services that these individuals or entities perform for, or with, the Enroll UX 2014 project, such as sending email messages, managing data, hosting our databases, providing data processing services, or providing online consulting services. We will use Google Analytics in order to examine visitor data.

Web Administrator Use of Data

Google Analytics will be used to track information on visitors to www.ux2014.org for the purpose of website optimization and assessing whether key audiences are visiting the site.

Google Analytics uses a first-party cookie and JavaScript code to collect information about visitors. Visitors to this website who have javascript enabled are tracked using Google Analytics. This information is used to administer and update the website www.ux2014.org will be a more user-friendly site if we know which pages our users are visiting and how often. We will also assess whether the visitors to the site match the expected site demographics and determine how key audiences are navigating the content.
